Unmasked - 1:24
Well, the streak of 7 pages per month has been broken. I have to say, I'm not too bummed out about that - if I kept going at that pace I probably would go insane. Especially when school starts up again. But let's not think about that! Let's think about the European getting hit in the head with a desk lamp, because that's more fun.

Unmasked - 1:22
This was another one of those experiment pages.
But I say that like I actually know what I'm doing, which I don't. I really have no clue. This whole project is a jumping off point for me, diving into something completely out of my comfort zone or realm of normality. It's helped me realize that this is something that I love doing. It's official! I am a comic nerd! Whoop de doo.
People ask me where this is going, if I have a plot in mind, and when I'm going to be done. To the first and second questions, all I can say is yes - I most certainly do know where this is going, but you'll have to keep reading to find out. And to the last question, I have no idea. I guess you'll have to keep reading to find out that one, too.

I present the long overdue page 21. Sorry, it's taken so long. I got back from UCLA's Art Institute on the 15th, and it was great. Shout-out to errybody I met there, you guys rock! So anyway, here's page 21. I hope you enjoy.

Unmasked - 1:20
Oh hey, 20th page. What's up?
I had a lot of fun with this page, too. As we're starting to progress towards the plot more, characters are getting more animated and interesting to draw, and I'm starting to get a feel for what needs to go where on the paper. There's a certain symmetry to the page that needs to be conserved so it doesn't look messy, but then the page also needs to pull the reader in and be entertaining. The more I experiment the more fun it gets, so in the future there's going to be some different looking pages from what I've done before. Page 20 is sort of my first.
I was also recently inspired by a graphic novel called Koko Be Good by Jen Wang. It's amazing and you should read it.
ALSO, because I haven't done enough writing on this post, this Sunday's post will be a bit different from my usual. It's not going to be a page, so make sure to check back! Bwheheh...
That's all for now, thanks for being awesome!

Unmasked - 1:18
I FREAKING LOVE THIS PAGE. Seriously. This was probably the most fun page to do so far. What's better than drawing a bunch of people crazy drunk and partying like hell? As you can see, the Grunge is an all-thieves bar. Errybody be in masks. It's exclusive to the thieving community, and no normal person would go in there because it looks like a run-down shack.
Also, we meet a new character today. I've been waiting for this. Introducing Masquerade, female renegade thief with a lot of charisma and flair. She be pretty fly.
Faecbewk -- liek eet.

Cover
Well, this is my first post that's not an actual comic page. I hope it doesn't disappoint. I recently acquired a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet and have been going to town, staying up all night and messing around with it. I've been wanting to do a cover for awhile and saved this project for when I got the tablet.
This project was a lot of work, but I love the result. If you can't tell, the characters from left to front are the Businessman, European, Operative, and Masquerade. And the word Unmasked is coming from the European's cigarette.

STAR WARS REFERENCE DURR HURR.
So now we find our three heroes at a dingy, sketchy bar to meet with the mysterious "Scorpion." Will they find him? What does he want? How many cigarettes is the European going to go through? Hopefully all will be answered in due time.
Apologies if you're European. My bad.

Unmasked - 1:15
Well, this is exciting. We're 15 pages in and the plot's just starting to pick up some speed! A lot of people have asked me how many pages this is going to be, and I have honestly no idea. I write out a script then I block it out page by page - so far it's gone pretty well.
The European is starting to become my favorite character, which is probably bad because I shouldn't show bias, but he's so fun to draw. Just look at that big shnoz.

Unmasked - 1:14
So close to being all caught up! I have two more drawings loaded on my computer that I haven't uploaded yet, and then you'll just have to wait until I finish each one. The postings shouldn't really be any different once I'm posting all my current stuff since it's summer soon, but finals week may be a bit iffy.
So in this page we finally find out - YES! It was the Scorpion. Gasp. It looks like O.P. and the gang have finally made it big.

Okay, I felt bad. I kind of cheated on that last post. So here's some plot and dialogue for you.
I have to say, with every new post I get more and more excited, because the story's moving forward, the characters are developing, and it's fun to see my more recent work online.
Thanks for the support, check out and 'like' Unmasked here! Help us take over the internet!

Yeah, I cheated. But only because I can! I like silent pages, sue me. Especially when they show the Businessman and European looking like the Easter bunny just hopped through their front door and threw up the Tooth Fairy on their floor.
If you haven't picked up on it already, getting a letter from the Scorpion is kind of a big deal. It's like they've just been invited to sit at the cool kid table, or the Rapture. It just DOESN'T HAPPEN to normal, mediocre thieves such as them.

The plot thickens... I think this page speaks for itself, pretty much. So I'm going to leave it at that.

HOLY HAMBURGERS, WHAT IS THIS?! That's right. It's the 10th page. Can you believe it? Crazy! Now, O.P.'s arms in the upper-right panel have some... joint/bone problems, because I'm pretty sure no arm is supposed to bend like that ever but hey, it's the 10th page so we can just ignore that.
Unmasked now has a Facebook page and you can 'like' it HERE!
Tell your friends, get the word out, 'cause we gon' take over the internet, y'all. Thanks for your continual support - second star to the right and straight on 'til morning!

MOAR PERSPECTIVE. CLOSE-UPS. NO, HE IS NOT GIVING YOU THE FINGER. He just happens to hold envelopes in a weird way.
The silent pages are my favorite to draw because I don't have to worry about leaving room for any text. ...I hate text, most of the time. But without them, the angles, expressions, and detail matter more and what's actually being said matters less. Saying nothing can sometimes communicate a lot more than saying something. I find it's jolly good and quite entertaining, pip pip!
So who is this mysterious man? Probably not someone you want to mess with. Things are gettin' fishy...

Gasp! Conflict! Yes, the Businessman likes his money. He's not a fan of being tricked or swindled.
This page isn't my favorite, and is not particularly exciting, but it moves the story along so... it must be done! Posts aren't going to come as frequently as they did last month, probably once a week as opposed to twice/ish because school requires a large percentage of my time.
Things are about to get shaken up. Just wait. Bwahahaha.

Shading AND perspective, all in one page. Take that! Oh, and pay no attention to the unfinished upper-right-hand corner of the last panel. I don't know how that happened.

And here it goes! My first post for this page!
Unmasked is a webcomic about a team of thieves consisting of three men: The Operative, the clever and cunning leader who nicks knacks because of the sheer thrill; The Business man, his stoic, sturdy-minded pal who makes sure the job gets done and the money lands in his own pocket; and The European, a mysterious liquor-drinking, cigarette-smoking man of undetermined ethnicity.
Together they form an unstoppable team of money-pilfering, jewel-snatching, defense-thwarting thieves.
That is, until they're robbed by the infamous Scorpion, and find themselves treading in muddy waters.
And I present the first page:
